A
- Airway Collapse occurs with persons that suffer from Sleep Apnea and prevents oxygen from flowing.
- Ambulatory Oxygen pertains to the ability to be mobile while using oxygen.
- Arthritis - A group of conditions that relate to damaged joints in the body. One of the leading causes of disability in Senior citizens.
- Assistive Technology the utilization of technology in order to assist, adapt, or rehabilitate patients.
- Authorized Medicare Provider an organization that is approved to bill and receive payment through Medicare. Orbit Medical is an authorized Medicare Provider.

- Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure Therapy (BiPAP) utilizes a machine to increase air pressure in your throat so that your airway does not collapse while sleeping. BiPAP differs from CPAP in that there are 2 different pressure settings.

- Cancer - also known as malignant neoplasm, is a class of diseases where a group of cells exhibit the traits of uncontrolled growth, invasion and or metastasis. In many cases a tumor will form but not always.
- Central Sleep Apnea (CSA) the airway is not blocked but the brain fails to signal the muscles to breathe.
- Certificate of Medical Necessity a detailed prescription that substantiates a patients medical necessity.
- Clinical Depression - a psychiatric disorder, common signs are a loss of interest in usual activities and lack of ability to experience pleasure.
- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Therapy (CPAP) uses a machine to increase air pressure in your throat so that your airway does not collapse while sleeping.

- Dimentia - results from damage or disease in the brain and is characterized as a progressive decline in cognitive function that does not culminate simply from aging.
- Diabetes - a disease in which the body does not properly regulate the amount of sugar in the blood. As a result, the level of sugar in the blood is too high. This disease occurs when the body does not produce enough insulin or does not use it properly.
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME) defined by Medicare as reusable equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, CPAP machines, or hospital beds.

- Heart Disease also known as cardiac disease and is the number 1 killer in the U.S. and a major cause of disabilities. The most common cause is narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries.
- High Blood Pressure also known as hypertension, in adults is defined as blood pressure greater than or equal to 140 mm Hg systolic pressure or greater than or equal to 90 mm Hg diastolic pressure.

- Medicaid a health insurance program administered by individual states. Coverage is provided to individuals with low income or high medical bills. Eligibility depends on age, disability or family status and on an individuals (or familys) income and resources.
- Medicare A federal health insurance program for persons age 65 and older, certain persons under 65 with disabilities and certain people with kidney disease.
- Mixed Sleep Apnea (MSA) a combination of blocked airways and the brain failing to signal the muscles to breathe.
